More than just a
Riding Program.

Riding

Victory Gallop works hard to provide innovative, progressive and quality therapy for children with life-threatening illnesses, behavioral and/or emotional challenges through the use of horses. We believe our first responsibility is to the children who will benefit from our services. Our goal is to offer a safe, nurturing environment which allows the children to increase their self-esteem and physical fitness, enhance task completion, improve socialization and communication skills.

Victory Athletics

Fitness Program

Thanks to the GPD Foundation, Victory Gallop's Victory Athletic fitness program continues to grow.

The Victory Athletics fitness program aims to provide coaching, training, and guidance to children and young adults dealing with mental, physical, and emotional disorders. This is accomplished by using physical activity to stimulate the body, mind and spirit of each individual who participates in the program. By showing these individuals that they are capable of more than they realize, the program instills confidence and improved self-esteem in those who may otherwise not have such a mindset.

The benefits of routine exercise have proven to be numerous, the Victory Athletics program capitalized on this fact, using exercise to better the lives of individuals who may normally not benefit from the many positive effects of exercise. Victory Athletics provides a safe, and private location for these individuals to experiment with physical activities they may otherwise be unable to participate in, such as weight, speed and endurance training, yoga, cross fit, calisthenics, hiking, and other related activities.

"We feel that many of our students need more than just a riding program, so we strive to offer other unique and fun programs for the kids. We want the farm to be a place where kids want to be."

Additional Programs

Fun Day

Each summer ends with “FUN DAY.” All students and volunteers are invited to partake in this crazy, fun filled day. Activities include bouncers, obstacle courses, crafts, food, face painting and more. It is a great way to end the summer.

Birthdays

Victory Gallop feels everyone deserves to have their special day recognized, so each rider’s birthday is celebrated with a pan of homemade brownies, singing and a birthday card that they receive at their home.

Holiday Parties

Each winter session ends with Victory Gallop's Holiday Party. Riders, volunteers, staff and their families join together for this festive event. The highlight of the event is when each child and volunteer receive their special gift from the horses at Victory Gallop.

Social Events

Throughout the year we schedule Extra Curricular activities for our riders. Our goal is to have the children take what they learn at the farm and carry it into the community in a safe and fun way. In the past, activities have included bowling, movies, painting classes and trips to nearby horseshows.

Camps

Summer social skills camps are offered to the riders enrolled in Victory Gallop. The camps are designed to help the students in our program work on social skills, learn responsibility, team work, respect for others and many other needed daily life skills. Students are able to be at the farm where they feel comfortable with their surroundings while working with other riders and volunteers to accomplish these goals.

Horse Shows

At the end of each session students have the opportunity to show case what they have learned during the 12 week session. It is a great time to invite family and friends to come watch and share in their accomplishments.
